The capture overlay

Capture is the front door of the daily ritual. The goal is to get a thought out of your head and straight back to whatever you were doing.

Open it

Press ⌘N anywhere in Rymi. A small overlay appears with a single text field focused and ready. Type the task and press ⏎. It lands in your Inbox, and the overlay closes.

Capturing implies no commitment. You are not deciding when to do it or where it belongs; you are just making sure you will not lose it.

Smart parsing as you type

While you type, Rymi quietly recognises structure and highlights it:

• A #project assigns the task to a project.
• A date like tomorrow or 15 Jan sets a deadline.
• A phrase like every monday makes the task recur.

You can write Email the printer #Website tomorrow and get a task in the Website project, due tomorrow, in one line. Full detail is in smart parsing.

Other ways to capture

• On the Mac, Global Quick Capture (⌃⌥C) captures from any other app without switching to Rymi.
• On iPhone and iPad, the share extension captures a link or selected text from anywhere.
• With Siri, you can add a task by voice.

All of them land in the Inbox, ready for you to process when you plan.
