Switch from Todoist

Rymi imports Todoist projects from Todoist’s CSV export, one project at a time.

Export from Todoist

1. Open the project you want to move in Todoist.
2. Open the project’s ⋯ menu and choose Export as a template → CSV (or Export as CSV).
3. Save the .csv file. Repeat for each project you want to bring across.

Import into Rymi

1. In Rymi, open Settings → Data → Import Data….
2. Choose Todoist.
3. Pick your .csv file. The project takes its name from the file name.
4. Review the preview, choose whether active tasks go to your Inbox or Backlog, and click Import.

What carries over

• Tasks and descriptions, with due dates.
• Sub-tasks are folded into the parent task’s notes as a checklist.
• Recurring tasks are kept where Rymi can express the schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, and every-N variants). A schedule Rymi cannot represent, such as a yearly repeat, is imported as a normal task instead, and the preview tells you.

What does not

• Priorities and labels are not imported as such. Labels are added to the task’s notes so you do not lose them; priorities are dropped (Rymi has no priorities).
• Sections within a project are not kept (Rymi projects are flat).
• Todoist’s CSV export only includes active tasks, so completed tasks do not come across.

Everything the import drops or changes is listed in the preview before you commit, and you can Undo Import from the result screen.
