Data export
Your tasks are yours. Rymi can export everything to a plain JSON file whenever you want, with no lock-in.
Export
Section titled “Export”In Settings -> Data Export, choose what to include:
- Inbox, Today, Backlog, and Projects are selected by default
- Archive is off by default, since it is usually the largest and least needed part
Pick the sections you want and export. On the Mac you get a save panel with a
default name like rymi-export-2026-01-15.json; on iPhone and iPad the file goes
through the system share sheet. If nothing is selected, the export button is
disabled.
The file
Section titled “The file”The export is human-readable JSON. It records when it was exported, a version, your selected sections with their tasks, and your projects. It is a faithful snapshot you can archive, move elsewhere, or simply keep.
